Bottle brown, 300 ml, alc 5,1 percent abv, min 8,5 percente of cherry juice, bought in Czech Republic, Trinec, Hypernova,
Appearance pours intensive, dark red, cherry and strawberry like body colour with clear body texture, carbonation of the body is moderate, head is initially huge, quite thick, compact, frothy and regular in texture, slowly decreasing to moderate leaving nice lacing, head is reddish pink, cherry like in colour,
Aroma strong aroma of natural refreshing cherry juice, slightly spiced up by leavy hoppyness and gentle notes of alcohol, no sourness and quite dominating mellow yeasty nose giving the impression of whipped cream, candid sugar, vanilla, very inviting and easy to assess,
Flavour front is quite mild, soft, slightly accidic and slightly sweet, generally the most neutral Lambic Kriek I ve tasted so far, not too much accidic, not tart and not overly sweet, very moderate, so, so, of course yeasty with moderate cherry influence, finish duration is moderate,
Palate body is light, texture is rather watter, carbonation on palate is soft, finish feel is slightly astringent durhambeer (1186), Durham, USA Dec 29, 2008 Kriek from a can! Shared by Todd at the Carolina gathering. Clear red pour. Smells like a Luden’s cough drop and tastes the same, only sweeter. Candy beer. ucusty (1865), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Dec 29, 2008 Can shared by Todd! Hazy red pour with a fizzy dark pink head. Ludens on the nose. Sweet cherry flavor. Light acidity Dedollewaitor (3622), Odense, Denmark Dec 24, 2008 Bottle. Pours red with a pinkish white head. Sweet cherries all around. Sugar & syrup. Sticky. Almond & wood. Synthetic & too sweet. nate2g (1034), Brisbane, Australia Dec 20, 2008 Pours red with small diminishing head. Aroma is of sweet and acidic cherries. Flavour is cherry, sour though, with a little bitterness. Sweet, bitter finish, wouldn’t drink too many of these. Travlr (694), Washington, Washington DC, USA Dec 19, 2008 Tastes like cherry soda with less carbonation. Not sure about this one. Might make a good cough syrup. dnas2 (627), Yelverton, Devon., Devon, England Dec 18, 2008 Bottled. Bright red, pours with a big foam head. Sweet cherry aroma, carbonated, with a slightly silky mouthfeel. Malty. Mainly sweet with some bitterness at the back. I did not think the cherry was overpowering but this might depend on chilling. Mine was served at room temperature. Nice. KiwiJonno (70), Christchurch, New Zealand Oct 29, 2008 Tried this at the Belgium Beer Cafe. Reddish beer. The aroma of this beer is overpoweringly of cherrys. The taste also is of rich strong cherrys, followed by the sour/tart cherry stone taste. Slightly thin beer hense the 2 rating. Not much else to this beer apart from Cherrys but pleased I tried this one.
