cheeta (858), Langĺ, Denmark Mar 28, 2008 Heavy malty and fruthy aroma, cherry. Huge, frothy, pink head. Good lacing. Fully lasting longevity. Clear, pink body. Heavy sweet and bitter initial flavor, with a long sour finish duration. Light to medium, watery palate. MBison (548), Southern Highlands, Australia Mar 2, 2008 Bottle (375ml). Poured blood red with a good size pink head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was of glazed cherries, strawberries, strawberry topping and some cherry sherbet. Flavor was of tart cherries with a light bitterness, some sweet raspberries and cherry sherbet. Light to medium bodied with spritzy carbonation, syrupy texture and a ok finish. armando629 (954), Budapest, Hungary Feb 27, 2008 What a coinsidance. I’ve bought that beer on the same day without any discussion with ogreface. Let’s taste it! Beautiful ruby color with a nice delicate pink head. The aroma is a little sour cherry and a little barnyard. In the taste dominates the sour cherry flavour with a good&mild tartness and acidity. Nice sour afertaste. That beer was a good surprise for me(from a mass producer InBev)... ogreface (291), Budapest, Hungary Feb 27, 2008 Egy különleges lambic,különleges alkalmakra.Néha megkívánom és olyankor bizony jólesik bele kortyolni ebbe a gyümölcsös italba.Az illatában,ízében végig dominál a meggy,az utóízben pedig feltűnik a komló is.Kellemes de mindennapi italnak nem tudnám elképzelni. gam (1068), brisbane, Australia Feb 3, 2008 Ruby red,med pink head, carbon is ample, aroma cherry plum red wine, flavour candy cherry dull soapy sickly no thanks. MelbBrewersJD (32), Australia Jan 30, 2008 I don’t mind fruit beers, especially those that have been brewed specifically as one as opposed to has fruit added to mask a crap beer.
A good fruit beer must in essence be a good base beer, before any fruit is added. Cherries works for me and this would be my first choice of fruit beers. SHIG (2012), Aviano, Italy Jan 10, 2008 Bottle: Poured a ruby red with pink color head. The aroma is a tart cherry. The taste is sour cherry with a slight acidic touch to the finish. Watery compaired to other fruit krieks. FarFromHome (82), Philadelphia, Alabama, USA Jan 9, 2008 375 mL bottle bought in Fes, Morocco, on Christmas Eve. A bit sweet, but counteracted by tart cherry flavour. I liked it, though I would be unlikely to drink more than two at a sitting or more than every three days. Aroma less obviously synthetic than the taste, very pleasant. Would definitely buy again. Just not frequently.
