It looked like a coke with a frothy pale pink head, but the aroma was attractive. I found the taste quite complex: there was fruity sourness and sweetness with just a hint of bitterness in the background. caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 5, 2007 Dark red colored, vanishing light red head. Aroma is only cherries with sour bubblegum, too sweet for my taste. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor does not differ from aroma so much: too much cherries with bubblegum and some wooden tones, somehow watery and round ending. rauchbier (3000), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 3, 2003 Bottled. Chestnut/purple colour, brief purplish head and moderate condition. Artificial and oversweet cherry aromas, too sweet in the mouth with nasty cherry notes and an oversweet and sticky finish.

White bubbles that quickly dispersed. A strong winy cherry aroma that tempted me to sip. Strong cherry flavour. Is it beer or a tempting cooler? Oak and very smoky aftertaste. The smoke lingers a long while. Thicker and more complex than I had expected. Not as sweet either. I really enjoyed the smokiness of each sip. Not an everyday drink, but perhaps more than once a month. I look forward to trying some variety in this style. WeeHeavySD (2970), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA

Drank on 7/1/06 in from a can on the train between Paris and Brussels. This is an extremely sweet commercial Kriek which contains 8.5% fruit juice. It is light and refreshing but almost too sweet. larsga (2959), Oslo, Norway
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 28, 2009 Small pinkish white head. Deep red body. Yoghurty cherry aroma with marzipan notes. Sweet-dry metallic yoghurty cherry taste, a bit artificial, with wooden notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry wooden marzipan cherry aftertaste. Decent, but no more.
