Looks pretty cool-- clear ruby-brown with a pink head that lasted the duration. Cherry candy aroma dominates (like children’s cough medicine). All sweet cherry on the palate. Very interesting and fun to try, but one is enough (toooo sweet!) DruncanVeasey (2753), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England

Plenty of oak, apple juice and cherrydrop fruitiness in the snout. Sweetly..well, cherryish with a countering edge of sourness and lots of drawn-out creamy vanilla malt after the swallow. Nothing complex but nicely balanced Kriek. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 2, 2004 Pours a deep ruby red, with a small fizzy pink head. Flavor is tart before it warms up to the proper temperature. After sitting for awhile, the flavors really come out, syrupy sugary sweet, that reminds me of those little cherry candies you get around the holidays from Hickory Farms. Very tasty and easy to drink. Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 25, 2002 Pours with a decent head. Red but slight brown around the rim, as you would find with an aged red wine. Cherry, to be sure, but changes in the mouth to suggest strawberry and raspberry. The sweetness really hit my mouth a bit hard--a bit artificial to that extent. (on tap, Lowlander, Drury Lane, London) Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 20, 2001 Of the 3 Bellevue’s I’ve tried I liked this one the best, a bit to sweet, but decent, still can’t say Lambic’s would ever move into my top 25 beers overall, but do hit the spot on occasion. There is a essence or tone that I do like, but not enough to become a favorite. Aurelius (2652), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 12, 2002 Sweet cherry beer, but not in the true lambic vein. Great color, good fruity aroma. Flavor was generally pretty good, but I could have been tempted to imagine cough syrup if I was pressed. Struck me as more of a ladies’ beer. Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark

Nice bitter cherry flavor (most Krieks are more sweet than this one but I like the bitterness!) and also a good bitter and sour aftertaste.
