| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 29, 2007 Bottle. Dark red colour with a big off-white head. Sweet aorma of cherry essence, almonds and syrup. The flavour was very sweet, with more cherries and the merest hint of tartness. The finish was cloyingly sweet. All a bit synthetic and far too sweet. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | May 10, 2004 One of my intro beers to the style. I enjoyed the fruity taste, but it did seem quite artificial and syrupy. Not really much beer character to it though. I could see how this style could be quite pleasant, and I look forward to trying more of the quality offerings available. Decent. Pailhead (2609), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 22, 2006 Bottle: Courtesy of Styles. aroma of sweet cherries, vinegar, mustiness, and light cork. Pours a transparent mahogany with a minimal pink ring for a head. Weak sugary cherry flavor with a hint of cork in the finish. Light vinegar in the background. Overall a weak flavored lambic and what is there is not all that great. One of the worst lambics I’ve had. Nate (2564), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 27, 2003 Weak cherry aroma. Slightly sweet & woody. Ruby red clear with pink lacing head. Med body with med-high carb. Weak, watery cherry flavored beer. Light hops & weak finish/after. OK but not a great kriek. pivo (2537), Germany
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 29, 2002 A light sweet nose that is pleasant. Typical brown-reddish color. The taste is predominately cherries, not surprisingly. Rather sweet, not really sour enough, though there is a light tart finish. Thin and refreshing. GregClow (2515), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 30, 2006 Bottle from the LCBO. I’m writing an article on fruit beers for a local food & drink website, so I’m re-rating some stuff to update my notes, and I realized I’d never rated this. Pours a bright ruby colour with a medium pink head. Aroma of cherry cough drops. Flavour is fairly tart, with a lot of cherry flavour, but it turns medicinal in the finish, and not in a good way like the Drie Fonteinen Schaerbeekse Kriek I tried last week. Basically, this is a simple, dumbed down take on this style - it’s not awful, but it’s far from being a great beer. jgb9348 (2515), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 24, 2004 Cloudy burgundy-brown coloured body with a thin pinkish head. Aroma of cherries, malt, tartness and some sweetness. Medium-bodied; Mild tart flavour with hardly any tartness and barely any malt quality. Aftertaste not too pleasing-actually mild compared to a normal lambic. Overall, I'd much rather have a liefman's or lindeman's, but this was available on tap...so I figured i'd try it. I had a pint of this on draught at a small pub in Toronto, Ontario on 09-April-2004.
