1994 bottle at the kulminator. pours ruby with small white head. nose of a cherry syrup quality (wonder why?) and some toffee. flavor is light chocolate covered syrupy cherry flavor. not sour, not acidic, not a lambic. but with age it’s actually pleasent and not too sweet. mouth feel is watery, palate is way too short. better than i thought it would be but at only 2euro i had to try it.

375 ml corked bottle, champagne style, bought in Prague. Label says: P.H. Wandenstock Belle-Vue Kriek Lambic. ABV is 5.1%. Brewed by Interbrew Belgium, distributed in the Czech Republic by Staropramen. Beautiful red colour, large pink foamy head. Lovely aroma of sour cherries. Flavour is of course sour cherries too, initially sweet, with a hint of hops. Not very complex, and the finish is surprisingly short.

2002: Pour is mahoghany with a thin white head...smell is funky with sourness and nice warm cherry...taste is not nearly so sour as the smell...lifeless and sweet cherry...bland and mediocre at best...

I like it! Perfect appearance, big head and ruby color. Nice aroma of cherries. Flavor real good, cherries but also some acid, tart?

Artificial and extremely sweet. A classic low quality fruit beer. Too much is sickening.

A litlle too ordinary. The palate has’nt got the nice marzipan-alike-taste, which I enjoy very much.

Cherry red colour with a medium size lasting off white head and good lacing. Mainly cherry flavours with an oily texture that lasted well into the finish, some wood characters which would come from the oak maturation. Nice beer but a bit too sweet for my liking, it would be good with chocolate at the end of a meal.
