Ordered the unidentified kriek off the hotel room service menu for kicks just to see what would be sent up. No surprise, this stuff is everywhere in Belgium. Deep rose color, light pink head, nose of sour cherries. Flavor matches, but a little too sweet for me. No real funk here. Fun, but not serious. DYCSoccer17 (2192), Davis, California, USA

There are also sour apple notes as well. Pretty pleasant aroma. Hazy copper/brown color with a small tan head. Pretty damn ugly compared to the Lou Pepe I had last week. Mild acidity and lactic notes to start, quickly followed by sweet cherries...almost medicinal in nature. Finishes a bit roasted and bitter. The cherries work in this beer like the cherry flavor works in Amoxicillin. It feels as though the fruit is trying to hide something as opposed to working with something. This is very drinkable though, but it just doesn’t jive with my palate. GonZoBeeR (2163), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada

My first lambic. Blood/cherry red pour, pink head. Huge, sweet cherry aroma. Flavor followed as expected. Creamy mouthfeel. A bit too sweet and doesn’t really emphasize the sourness of the cherries, but not bad. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

It didn't really taste a whole lot like beer, but it was quite interesting. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

Sweetish candy-like aroma of cherris. Also perfume and notes of vinegar. Taste is a little acidic with light sweet dark cherries. Slight tart finish. Enjoyable, but a bit artificial.
