I see Belle-Vue fruit beers being in the middle of the scale, on one hand you have the super sweet almost alcopops of Jacobins and Timmermans, then you have the complex sour ones from Cantillon, Belle Vue seem to hold the middle ground with the likes of Mort Subite. This is not over sweet, but is not exactly beer. With a little more sugar this could qualify as an alcopop but in this state its just an average kriek. Color is a translucent pink with a one finger frothy pink head. The nose is sweet, shows cherry and candy, some almond and cherry pit. The flavor is more sweet than I would expect, cherry and cherry skins, almond character from the pits comes through as well. Lacks the tartness I wants. kappldav123 (1886), Markkleeberg, Germany

Starts quite sweet, very fruity, but also very dry from the beginning till the end. Turns more and more sourish. Fruityness goes to the background. Average! stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of fermented cherries, tart, and sweet. The flavor is sweet, fermented tart cherries, slight oak flavor. Not bad. JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA

Somewhat bland, even in the nose. bottom of the 5 tasted. There are better krieks (see my other ratings). TheGrandMaster (1874), Auckland, New Zealand

Beautiful sight in the glass with its deep reddish body and plentiful foam that looks like strawberry mousse. Cherry (no kidding) is strong and dominant in the aroma but passes over the tastebuds a little more quietly. Spritzy carbonated palate has a tartness that helps fight off the cherries.
