Dark, clear red with amber tinges and a foamy pinkish beige head. Dominant cherry aroma and sweet like a cherry cream candy. Sweet cherry malt flavors with some spiciness and hints of hoppiness in the finish. Smooth, creamy body. Underwhelming. rederic (1811), montréal, Quebec, Canada

Sweet cherries even shade of raspberries with shy oaky note lambic in the aromas, follow a medium-bodied of sweet cheery note in the palate with a mild tartness and a shy acidity on the finish. A mild kriek lambic for the none-initiated Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 17, 2004 Bottle corked and caged. Very attractive pour. Brown/red with a thick foamy head, like champagne. Nose smells like malty cherry cough syrup. The taste is tart, malty, sweet, and has a carbo bite that flattens out quickly. There are also secondary notes of plums, black licorice, and vinegar. The vinegar note is very sharp and off putting. The cherry flavor is not overdone. It hides in the background very well. The finish is a little too sharp and acidic. Overall, this isn’t bad, but there are much better out there. Beer2000 (1801), Kristiansand, Norway
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Feb 7, 2007 250ml bottle. Clear red body with a rather thick, pink head. A sweet fruit juice aroma, not to strong. Flavor is dominating sweet, confectionary cherry and a small dose of acid. Not completely bad, actually drinkable in small amounts if you’re into the world of sweets. One bottle is big enough. pilsnerrogge (1784), Finspång, Sweden

Not as sour as Cantillion, but not as sweet as Lindeman. I liked this Kriek. JCB (1767), Durham, North Carolina, USA

Nice to have something aluminum aged for once. Barrels are for suckas. Pretty handsome pour, a nice, well carbonated kriek. But lozenge lozenge lozenge, and a thinnish body to boot.
