Pleasant stoney aroma, with good amounts of steel, dust, sour cherry skin, dirty leather and limestone gravel. . . Flavours are a bit absent, but slightly bitter: light sour cherries, bitter wine, not overly sweet, and not complex enough to be of much interest. Very metallic finish, not quite the great stuff that I love. . . diabel (1372), Aarschot, Belgium

There is no need to comment on the natural hue of a beer because of the obvious adjuncts. Ditto the nose and taste as a cherry beer is going to probably smell and taste of .......Having said all that it is still a good and refreshing beer. There is a gegree of syrupy presence as noted by some but if you look past that it is still quite an acceptable drink, as opposed to a beer. jaymobrown (1361), Chicago, Illinois, USA

I can’t hate beer like this, much as I would like to. It’s not a work of genius, and yes, it’s an insult to the subtle beauty of a proper lambic. But...it’s kinda fun. It’s like the Burger King® of the beer world: not really food, but resembles food in a way that is itself kind of interesting. boto (1352), Granby, Connecticut, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 23, 2004 37.5cl bottle: This one pours a clear ruby color. Pouring it fast does give it a bit of a red-tinged head. The head dies down quickly, even there was a bit of carbonation. Some lacing down the glass. The aroma has both sweet and sour notes of cherries. The taste is a bit tart, but a hair lighter: the cherries don’t overpower the taste. A nice Kriek. Earlier Rating: 6/2/2002 Total Score: 3.9 A very unique style. Lambics are definitely an acquired taste. Very cherry, but not overpowering. Quite good. Stefano (1347), Esbjerg, Denmark
