Cherries are well presented, but rather lifeless in other aspects including carbonation. After developing an appreciation for the sourness and "funk" found in others it’s harder to get excited about this one. Not a thing really bad about in the least - if that makes sense. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Dec 27, 2003 Dark amber bordering on brown. Tight, white head is large and lasting, leaving behind full sheets of lacing. Sour cherry aroma has hints of oak. Flavor is not strong of cherries, surprisingly. The fruity sourness is there, but comes off as slightly artificial and medicinal. Bitter woody finish is a little off. Not overly carbonated, which is nice. Still, I've had better lambics. Flavor is sweet, cherry with a touch of tart cherries. It’s good, but I can imagine that it would be impossible to drink more than one at a sitting. TChrome (1299), Bedford, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 10, 2003 Very intersting brew. Pours up looking more like wine than beer. Aroma is dominant cherry as is flavor which is a little sour. Pretty yummy. Beerman6686 (1292), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 27, 2007 Draught, served in its glass but way too cold, drank at Chambar, savoured on February 8 2007; eye: burgundy, a thin layer of beige head, nice lacing, no effervescence; nose: cherry concentrate, outdated malt, vinous, acidic, I should not have gone with the retro-nasal approach as the result was outdated malt and way, way, way too much sweet; mouth: surprisingly creamy, nice hint of acidity, a bit of caramel all over the place, finale in cherry with a bit of a sweet side to it, after the finale, sweetness, astringency, acidity and a bit of bitterness and even of acridity, medium body, too sweet, creamy and a bit grainy texture, quite acidic; overall: quite special but not too often
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 18, 2005 Colour of muddy shiraz and pours with a big Creamola Foam head. Sour cherries and cloves in the aroma. Smooth-bodied and sweet at the front and middle, with a big sour cherry finish. Thinner than most lambics. It has a poppy, lemonade-like texture. Some alcoholic strength in the middle but little depth. An easy drinker, sweet but a tad bland. (Bottle)
