Full, sourish and loaded with dark cherry flavor. Less sweet than expected and actually more beer tasting than most fruit Lambics I’ve had, but I’m far from an expert or lover or casual drinker or (you get the point). Finishes watery, less fruity, but still tart and woody. I actually liked this more than my wife did. Too close to beer for her. rosenbergh (941), Helsinki, Finland

Smells like cherry cough drops. Tastes like cherry cough drops. Finish of dried fruits. Very artificial and sickly sweet. Its only redeeming feature is the creamy full body. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 19, 2003 Cherry dominates aroma. Pours a lovely reddish brown with a thick head. Quite sweet, cherry flavour is the major standout. No hops to speak of, a sipping beer, kind of tastes like a wine. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 22, 2007 25 cL bottle, recently re-marketed in Belgium as "Kriek Classique." Some BS on the label about traditional recipe, blah blah. Pours pinkish-red with a light pink head. Black cherry sour candy aroma. There is a slight tartness to the cherry flavor, which is mildly sweet but not cloying like a soda pop. The result is refreshing. But that’s the only dimension to this beer, which offers no truly beery elements. No funkiness, no bitterness, etc. Pretty damned boring. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 2, 2007 A hard drink to judge. For a fruit beer it is one of the best. Cherry flavor is termemdous. If you are not a beer lover (what?) then this is a great alternative. However it is very sweet and half of a drink is enough for me.
