Bottle - Dark read with a thick foamy pink head. Aroma is sweet cherry. The taste is sweet and sour cherry, but not much around this. This one is not for me but it is OK for the style.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a dark clear red with a pinkish white head and a sour smell of citrus and red wine vinegar. Taste isn’t sour initially, it’s very sweet like cherry flavored candy with hints of caramel and brown sugar. After that a very short sour note comes by, but that lasts for less than a second. Finish is heavily sweet, like you have been eating a lollipop. Not my kriek

strong and slightly acidic cherry aroma, pours with a dark red hue and a slightly red-tinged head, well laced, mild cherry flavour with moderate carbonation, quite rich and very refreshing

Bottle (375ml). Poured blood red with a good size pink head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was of glazed cherries, strawberries, strawberry topping and some cherry sherbet. Flavor was of tart cherries with a light bitterness, some sweet raspberries and cherry sherbet. Light to medium bodied with spritzy carbonation, syrupy texture and a ok finish.

[On tap at Copa of Reading] Dirty mauve-red with a large pink head. Black forest gateaux, a little almond and a fair hit of maraschino cherries. Some sourness and a woody taste behind. Dry, woody finish. Not altogether convinced - felt vaguely queasy afterwards.

While not specifically unpleasant this is far too Vick's Cough Syrup-like to be overly pleasant. Some sweet cherry aromas lead to a syrupy cherry taste. Mild sour and bitter touches to the cherry as it moves to the finish line. Really the ruby red appearance is the best thing about the beer.

Bottle from Morrisons. Purple with pink head. You can actually identify some lambic-ness from the aroma - theres wood and apple and cobweb along with the cherry. Mouthfeel syrupy and flavour just way too sweet. Sad.

Moderate tan head. Rich brown/reddish color. Not overpoweringly cherry flavored, which is nice. The oak comes through rather nicely.
