Feb 11, 2005 As La Becasse Kriek. Dark red with an off-white head. Aromas are cherry drops sweets with hints of musty sourness. Flavours are sweet cherries followed by, er, not much. Its more factory than farmyard, which is a shame. Is this a real airbourne yeast fermented beer? It seems too sterile. As a sweet cherry beer it is OK, as a lambic, not.

Jun 12, 2005 Deep ruby beer with a short lived white head that leaves some lacing. Very candy-like cherry aroma. Flavour is more interesting, with some hops to give a somewhat dry finish to the sweet cherry.

Nov 24, 2001 Light aroma of cherry syrup. Nice rocky, lasting head with beautiful lacing on top of a clear, light orange-brown liquid (a bit darker than the Framboise). Medium body, sticky and syrupy sweet, only very slightly sour. Kind of flat, syrupy taste of cherries, some sour apple flavors and malt as well. Doesn’t taste as clean and fresh and crisp as other Belgian lambics. Less cloying and flat compared to the Framboise.

May 31, 2008 25 cl bottle. Bright mahogany color with a pinkish white head that went down fast. Cherry aroma. Not particularly sweet or sour aroma. Medium body with coarse carbonation. Slightly sour, but also slightly sweet, cherry. Barring the cherry it could be a red wine. Finishes rather dry. Certainly not one of the soda pop fruit lambics. Finishes rather tart.

Feb 24, 2005 Dark red color with a slightly pink head. The aroma is sour cherries and some lemons. The taste is sweeter than I expected with cherry cough drops and some notes of bread. Htins of hay. The taste is sweeter than a normal lambic, but still pretty good. There is hardly any funky lambic character detectable.

Jan 10, 2004 Aroma is rather syrupy sweet cherry. Smells artificial. Deep red colour with a nice thick pink head that recedes with nice lacing. Beautiful bubbly body. Flavour is also overly sweet with a minor tartness emerging towards the finish which is overwhelmed by the pervasive sweetness. There is a nice biscuity flavour left on the palate in the aftertaste. Actually has nice body and effervescent mouthfeel. Bottle (green).
