molsonracing86 (13), Fremont, New Hampshire, USA Jul 17, 2006 Great beer. Most interesting fruity beverage that actually maintains its beer characterisitcs, and is not just an alco-malt. Had it in france under the La Bécasse alias. maestro (36), Melbourne, Australia Jun 22, 2003 Updated: Jul 27, 2003A great and classic lambic ale. This is really a Cherry, Barley champagne. But delicious, sweet and unusual. Fantastic with dark chocolate and belgian waffles. Not an everyday quaffer but amazing and unique. mike8499 (22), Australia Jan 14, 2002 My first fruit beer and wow. It is almost like the red wine of the beer world... dont drink too much though edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA Jan 24, 2003 1/24/03: bottle. nice full rocky head, which is a white- pink blush color. head diminishes to a strong medium size with lots of healthy lacing. heavenly aroma with whiffs of fermented cherries. sensational deep rosè color. a tiny bit of sweet which immediately turns into a tart and sour cherry flavor. more of a mature taste than Lindemans and in my opinion a better quality lambic. DUBWICHT (7), Canada does not count Feb 25, 2005 Very nice cheery lambic ale. Slight hint of horsey flavor like true lambic with strong cherry aroma. Pinnhead (93), New Jersey, USA Nov 17, 2005 as a fruit beer this is the gold standard. cherry stands out but does not shout. Have only ever had it in Belgium, on tap and have not located a single distributor in the states. It is an almost perfect after dinner beer. mikeben (344), Naperville, Illinois, USA Sep 6, 2003 I5t puzzles me that some don't like this. It is a great beer very close to LIndmans but slightly cheeper. Ok it is a little more bitter and fizzy but hey its a great fruit beer and a fun way to get cool when your hot!Drink up (pity about the name though where was it brewed in a mental house!) DrunkAsASkunk (847), Lynnwood, Washington, USA Aug 3, 2005 This beer comes courtesy of beerguy101 and once again a big thank you!! This kreik pours a deep glowing red color with a super thin white soapy head and little lacing. The aroma is ALL cherries with a hint of cherries, topped off with cherries and alluding to some sour cherries. Flavor-wise we’re talking very full bodied, unbelievably smooth and toned down with a silky cherry mouthfeel. What I found incredibly interesting was how the heavily carbonated crisp front of cherries mellowed into a pepperminty spicy finish which bit the palate slightly but not enough to dry the beer out and make it undrinkable. Something of a candy sugar sweet finish. Both tart and sour, yet sweet and smooth. Superb balance and precise funkdification! The balance Belle-Vue acheives is damn good....the ratings here surprise me...you must try a fresh bottle. Fantastic!
