The pale pink head lasts quite well.Clean, fresh cherry aroma(funnily enough)there is a slightly harsh acidic prickle at the end. Palate is fresh fruity with a bitter edge (again, cherry, but quite light really) There is a refreshing acidic/sour character that reminds me of Rodenbachs sour beers. This is lovely stuff, but I have heard that Belle-vue use fruit concentrate rather than whole fruit, is this true??? Either way, I really enjoyed it. synistyr (1), Canada does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 17, 2006 Had it on tap versus from the bottle. Much better carbonation from the bottle. Nice cherry notes with a hint of bitter finish. Great beer cold for warm days. ofey (29), Doncaster, Australia

Beautiful sight in the glass with its deep reddish body and plentiful foam that looks like strawberry mousse. Cherry (no kidding) is strong and dominant in the aroma but passes over the tastebuds a little more quietly. Spritzy carbonated palate has a tartness that helps fight off the cherries. thebaron99 (110), Royston Park SA, Australia

At one point I thought it was like cough syrup, but I’ve always liked those sweet sickly cough syrups ehem. Then I got into the intense sherbety tang and smoother fruit and shortcrust flavours. Bloody brillyant, get it up yer. Look forward to more lambics and bugger the fact that its 100º F outside. Hansen (2357), Randers, Denmark

Flavor real good, cherries but also some acid, tart? DanielBrown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 9, 2003 This is one of the beers that changed my life, and got things started. I tried it from a bottle in the Hogshead, Birmingham, and couldn't believe that something so fruity and exciting could actually be a beer. As an Interbrew product it now seems like this is becoming the Coca Cola of fruit beers, and I'm not sure it is the most complex, or subtle kriek in the world. But by crikey, it's still a top class piece of work, which brings back happy memories, and experiences which I am keen to repeat whenever possible! The cherry flavour is rich, without being over powering, and it is sweet without being sickly. Great colour too. paco (210), Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada
