Jul 27, 2004 Bottle from Tesco, Loudwater, Bucks.. 375ml. I see Belle-Vue fruit beers being in the middle of the scale, on one hand you have the super sweet almost alcopops of Jacobins and Timmermans, then you have the complex sour ones from Cantillon, Belle Vue seem to hold the middle ground with the likes of Mort Subite. This is not over sweet, but is not exactly beer. With a little more sugar this could qualify as an alcopop but in this state its just an average kriek. Ok.

Feb 6, 2002 Not my favorite of lambics, but it was my first. Decent in flavor and nose, a little dry. Every bottle I buy seems to have a noticeable amount of sediment at the bottom.

Aug 21, 2001 Nice looking, nice smelling beer.
But, that interesting blend of cherries and
lambic-y undertones is just not there.
Needs more oak and horse-blanket.
