Nice looking, nice smelling beer. But, that interesting blend of cherries and lambic-y undertones is just not there. Needs more oak and horse-blanket.

Bottle: Pours a murky red colour with a light pink head. Pleasant stoney aroma, with good amounts of steel, dust, sour cherry skin, dirty leather and limestone gravel. . . Flavours are a bit absent, but slightly bitter: light sour cherries, bitter wine, not overly sweet, and not complex enough to be of much interest. Very metallic finish, not quite the great stuff that I love. . .

Two words for this beer Sweet & Sour. Pours a deep red color with a nice pink looking head. Sweet smelling aroma. The taste is sweet/sour cherries. A must try, I've never tasted anything like it!

Appealing deep wine/red colour w/ brownish hue & big pinkish head. Sourish, syrupy cherry aroma. Medium body, somewhat sticky. A decent mix of sweet (dark cherry), tart & sour flavours. Perhaps a little too earthy & oaky.

This is awfully sweet, awfully soda-pop-y beer, if I may call it that. I’m unconvinced it’s a lambic. For all that, it’s still very drinkable. Consider it a really up-rent wine cooler.

(Rating #522)

Tap @ Popeye’s: Ruby red, light pink head, nose of full fruit and light tartness. Some chewy vanilla and light sweet cherry notes in the tail. Sweet, lacking the choice tart balance that are key in the great lambics.

Pleasant aroma with some cherry. Reddish amber in color. Syrupy sour cherry flavour. Slightly dry. A fair beer but would much rather have had a Lindemans
