The rich cherry body with a pink cream head is an appealing change of pace. The aroma smells deliciously full bodied of cherries with a sour vinegar note discernable at times. Unfortunately, the taste becomes more disagreeable as the experience continues. Cherry soda/cherry sparkling flavors give way to a twinge of saltiness to an unpleasant salty cherry that becomes sickening. Far too unbalanced. joss (3685), Garching b. München, Germany

Tart fresh tinge.
Ok balance, not so sweet as other
easy drinkable kriek.

Nice rocky, lasting head with beautiful lacing on top of a clear, light orange-brown liquid (a bit darker than the Framboise). Medium body, sticky and syrupy sweet, only very slightly sour. Kind of flat, syrupy taste of cherries, some sour apple flavors and malt as well. Doesn’t taste as clean and fresh and crisp as other Belgian lambics. Less cloying and flat compared to the Framboise. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 3, 2003 Its taste reminds me the old days when I was drinking cheap Polish Wino brand Wino. The cherry content was not overly aggressive yet mouth feel was strongly earthy, slightly acidic. omhper (12247), Stockholm, Sweden

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 25, 2003 Much more sour than most Krieks I've had - almost a Flemish Red in flavor and mouthfeel, reminds me a bit of the Goudenband a bit actually. The flavor just never develops beyond the sour cherry, no body and soul - just thin. argo0 (6978), Washington DC, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 9, 2003 Plum-colored body with small light purple head. Aroma is cherry, slightly tart but more sweet, definite element of cough syrup. Taste is soft cherry, medium sweetness, medium tartness. Finishes slightly medicinal. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
