1999 bottle shared by Egadjzis at the Tria classroom- shared with Armand Debelder. Pours a beautiful medium copper with a thin fizzy head which dissipates- pours moslty clear. Aroma is instantly acetic actually - seems to have an acetobacter infection- but not out of control, and I actually liked it and found it pleasant to drink after all the lactic lambics drank that ight. Very lgith lemony character, but is mostly dominated by sweet malt vinegar, and even more of a apple cider vinegar quality that I get from my own flemish red of a similar age. Flavor is sharly acidic moslty acedic- with some nice pleasant cherry fruits, cherry pit and grapeskin tannins- astringent and a bit woody, but not nearly as woody as expected- nice refreshing and tasty vinegary finish. Bretty funk and lactic bacteria are definitely kept to a minimum as acetobacter takes full control . Nice beer, and I was probalby one of the few who really likes the acedic character- Im sure this is a major flaw especially for this beer- and it may have just been an off bottle. I dont knwo how Ill ever try it again to compare though. I enjoyed it though. Thanks again Eric.

[Vintage 1999] Hazy amber with a large off white head. Typical sour barnyard aroma along with lacto, wood, leather, peaches and grapefruit. Barnyardy flavor with very sour lacto notes along with leather, wood barnyard and sour lemons. All sorts of things going on here. Freaking sour stuff. I simply love this!

Bottle #5893 (Thanks to Jacob) at Bagers - NewYears evening. Cloudy amber - white edges. Grape, earthy, high sourness, light light bike-glue & balsamic vinegar karakter, hugh dryness, a bit candy sweetness.

From Chris at the PP SAF. How fortunate I was to be there then. Got a chance to try this. Acidic sour aromas right off the bat. Cherry, Plum, Apple sourness. Flavors were right there in line and quite delicious. Beyond tart and right into sour. Good Good Stuff... Thanks Chris!!!!!!!

Bottle from quiroga opened generously at the Pizza Port Strong Ale festival. The last beer I drank for the night. What a way to finish the night. Incredible sour aroma that you could enjoy smelling without ever tasting the beer. Shocked to a 1.3 rating, but then some don’t like sour beers. I also think they should avoid beers they know they will dislike. Anway. Cloudy light redish, amberish color. Tart sourness that always gives me the illusion of sweetness, even though it may be dry. Possibly because I’m reminded of sour cherries, which reminds me cherries which are sweet. Sour and sweet are often together in many fruits in the world. Thus a lot of fruitiness associated with the beer as well. Beers like this I wish I could have in large quantities to drink for dinner and regularly. I don’t think that will ever happen, but one can hope in the future. Excellent beer.

Absolutely stunning nose of bandage and leather. Flavors were unmatchable sourness and perfectly clean. Only thing that have been better, if there was just a little more funk behind the sourness...other than that, pretty damn perfect.

Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sour as you could imagine, lambics are supposed to be tart, this is breathtakingly intense and overrides anything else the beer has to offer bar a bit of citrus and tannin. Its kind of cool at first, then becomes a bit sickening. Same goes with the flavour and body, waaay to sour for me, by far the most intense beer I’ve ever tried. As in the aroma, the sheer intensity of the lactic acid kills almost any character in the beer. A slight brett character and lime rind almost come though enough to mention. I love real lambics but this was just too much.

Difficult to rate. Lots of oak in the aroma. Sulfur too. Medium amber color, hazy. Aroma is very, very acetic. Long duration. Full body. Moderate astringent.
