aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and lightly yeasty.
taste, plenty of good roastiness here, light in body, some nice coffee and malts.
Light sparkly mouthfeel, thin and light with hints of dark fruits and yeasty. Reminded more of a stout than an old ale. Overall mouthfeel is just superb, highly drinkable. Ungstrup (15382), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 20, 2008 Bottle at Moeder Lambic. Pours black with tight-laced and very sturdy tan head. Lightly sweetish nose like cola with faint roasted coffee notes. Flavor has some slight lactic tartness and a subtly roasty backdrop, mildly bitter and going quite dry. Medium body, soft and airy carbonation. Pretty light. Interesting and attractive beer but it didn’t hit my sweet spots.
