The flavor is caramel and butterscotch with a touch of hops balancing the sweetness. Not bad--just not great. Oakes (8101), gone rambling, Cambodia
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 9, 2008 Cloudy orangey-amber. Woody, vaguely citrusy hops mix with earthy, slightly caramelly malts. Dull character. No bright notes of any kind, just vague malts (maybe caramel) and hops (low bitterness) that merely exist, failing to excite the palate. markwise (1187), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 8, 2008 A bit light on distinguishing flavor. This beer is thicker than the average beer, with a bit of sediment on the bottom of the glass. There is a good amount of lace on the glass and a small hop bite on the finish. Not Bell’s best beer. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 5, 2008 Pours nice coppery/amber color with off white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity. First off a very smooth, almost buttery, beer. Nice bready and toasted sweet malts are complemented by the light bitter finish. Excellent mouthfeel and a nice lingering aftertaste on this above average amber ale. Another solid entry from Bell’s vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 1, 2008 Pours amber (duh) with a beige head. The aroma is very typical amber ale style maltiness with light nuttiness and a touch of hops ~ quite clean. Medium body that is smooth and lightly sticky with some light soft carbonation. The flavor starts with toasted malt, some spicy hops and a small nectar fruit aspect. The finish is lingering and lightly biting. This is good for an amber, but it is still on the boring side. But I guess that is pretty much par for the style. Speedle (262), Mid-Atlantic (Tour 2007-2008), Virginia, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 30, 2008 Poured a light amber with a thin white head with virtually no retention.
The smell was very faint, hints of breads and malts.
Great taste; earthy, bready, and lightly hoppy.
Watery in the mouth, not very full, but a great carbonation level and a pleasant after taste.
Very drinkable, wish I had bought a few more.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 29, 2008 Aroma is not terribly strong, it has a little bit of biscuty malt aroma, with a little bit of hops and some yeast. Color is a light red amber color, with a fluffy white head that is very nice. The flavor is very nicley balanced with a candy like fruitiness with a biting hop bitterness as well. Palate is sharp but smooth.
