The flavor really brings it here. Even and firm bodied. Consistently earthy woody tones. Feel is very well bodied on the liquid and a good carbonation as well. I’m calling this as a good example of the style and an overall good brew to try.

Light dryness. Finishes with more caramel, soft malts, nuts, light spicy and earthy hops and fruit. Decent session style amber ale. sgallant (21), USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 29, 2008 12 oz. brown, longneck bottle. 8208 on back label. Poured out a light brown color, with a sticky tan colored head. Aromas are hops first, followed by caramel. Flavors are of hops & caramel as well. Medium mouthfeel, decent body. A little too hoppy for the style, but that’s just my opinion. thill25 (218), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 27, 2008 Pours an orange-caramel color and is a little hazy...has a nice head with an initial aroma of hops and then mellows to reveal a malty nose. Good, easy mouthfeel and has a definite caramel malt taste with a semi-sweet finish. Very good amber ale! Guerde (705), Welcome, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 24, 2008 (bottle thanks OSLO) Pours orange with a small off-white head. Aroma had faint hops in the beginning, but then switched to more grainy and sweet. The taste was quite sweet with caramel and the finish had a lingering bitterness. This beer was pretty good. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 24, 2008 [Bottle] Pours hazy orange amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is toasty, grainy malts. Taste is a little sweet up front, then it’s just a lot of malt with a light bitterness in the finish. Fairly thin with a long finish. This beer is in no way objectionable, and actually is pretty drinkable...it just doesn’t do a lot to impress though. BuckyBazoo (23), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 23, 2008 12oz bottle. This amber came highly recommended and I understand why. A very enjoyable ale! Off white head, golden tone. Sweet malty initial and mid taste. An almost fruit like finish. Very palletable!
