Commercial Description:
Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

12 oz. Clear amber-copper with a small head that lasts fairly well. Aroma is spicy light fruit. Flavor is spicy fruit, white wine, slight resin. Light medium and smooth with a dryish finish.

This beer is a glowing, if not perfect, version of its style. A masterful american brewery amongst a slew of shit american microbrews. Prost Bells.

The best Amber I can get around here. Somewhat more hoppy than average which doesn’t hurt. caramel, malt, hops, medium-thin body.

Draught at Moondog, CLT, NC Light yellow pour, almost no head. Small hop aroma, bit of malt. Very well balanced flavor. Crispy mouthfeel, hoppy aftertaste. Overall pretty typical amber, great session.

Had this beer on 9/14/1999. Aroma is a light hop scent. Color is a hazy amber with good carbonation and head. Flavor is a mild malt flavor with nice hop tones. This is an ok Amber.

Nice bronze colour. The smell is excellent--a bit of sweet floral, some malt, well-rounded. A yeasty bread loaf scent is also there. Mouthfeel is average, but not bad. Taste makes up for this. Subdued sweet start, some orange peel taste, sweet kick without being too overpowering, bitter chocolate-roasted coffee finish. Bitter aftertaste that lingers for a little while. Some hops to make it worthwhile. This would be an excellent session beer, I think. High quality and easy to kick back while still enjoying the taste.

Pours from the bottle to a hazy orange-red, much more reminiscent of an IPA than an Amber. There is a thick pillowy off-white head that lasts thorughout the glass and leaves excellent lacing. The nose is mostly a sweet caramel-honey-maple, with just a hint of some citrus hops. Taste is more of the malt-hop blend but unfortunatley, the thin body detracts from the flavor. Finish is sweet caramel and somewhat warming, but again, is adversely affected by the thin body, making it a little more watery than I prefe. Not a bad effort by Bell’s though.
