Commercial Description:
Made from mostly pale malt and some Munich and caramel malts. These add a little sweetness, which is balanced by more hops. The result is a rich color and fruity flavor.

Poured a hazy amber color with a broken off-white head. Mild bready aroma with a very slight hint of sweetness. Pretty much all malt throughout, but that being said it’s pretty satistying for an amber. Very drinlkable and the malt character prevents it for being boring, so I’d call it a success.

I actually liked this better than the "trendy" choice of many, Bells Oberon. Just the right amount of maltiness, spicy hops that don’t let you down, even tasted good only slightly chilled.,

Cloudy amber pour with a fluffy off-white head that settles to a thin film. Sudsy lacing that sticks around for a few minutes as it slowly rejoins the body. Aroma is heavy on the caramel, with ample dark and light fruits and a virtual bouquet of floral notes. The flavor is again of heavy caramel, apples, faint cherries, mild spices, and even a bit of cream. Incredibly smooth and creamy body. Goes down like silk. Perhaps a bit on the sticky side, but I can forgive that small flaw on such a well crafted amber. Very, very good beer.

12oz bottle. Aroma is moderately malty with notes of caramel, raisin, brown sugar, dried apricots, and a little yeast. Large foamy off-white head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. Medium amber hue. Flavor is lightly sweet with a short finish. Palate is light to medium bodied and watery. Soft carbonation and wet finish. Above average in some areas, very drinkable, and clean finish. But, kind of weak and one-dimensional. With so many other good brews from this brewery this is not deserving of it’s flagship title.

(Bottle via trade with <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?UserID=3 target=blank>shigadeyo, thanks Craig!) Nice mouthfeel but reserved in flavor...Pours cloudy amber with about three fingers of frothy somewhat messy biege head. Aroma somewhat piney and as head recedes more vanilla/malt. Mouthfeel soft almost creamy, feels pretty full yet at the same time a bit watery. Sloppy foamy patches of lacing. Flavor is fairly weak caramel maltiness with fairly light pine bitter bitterness overlaying. Finishes with a light bitter hit. Not the most exciting amber but OK.

This is probably my favorite all around drinkable beer. It’s especially enjoyable on a summer evening. sweat caramel and a little bitter bite at the end. Real nice looking beer sitting in my glass.

Caramel and rich malts, with a spicy hopiness in the aroma. Pours caramel amber with a medium sized white head. Malty, caramely, rich, with a noticable hop presence. A desent session amber.
