Fairly balanced malt and hops as it goes down makes for good drinkability. Nothing too intense with this one but a good one to sit down and relax with. Batch 7989.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 7, 2007 Bottle from Rozi’s in Cleveland. Lightly hazy orange amber body with a good size creamy white head (3+). Toasty grains, wheaty notes in aroma carry over to a grainy flavour of sweet toasty malt accented by a wheat like tartness. Average palate. Meh, okay but a bit dull especially for Bells. 6/3+/6/3/12 Zinister (1207), Houston, Texas, USA

Biscuty malts with toffee as well. Creamier amber than I expected. Good cereal flavors with caramel and nice hop balance. Good crisp finish....a fine amber. lunchbox582 (22), St. Clair Shores, Michigan, USA

Batch # 7872. Great summer beer for barbeque’s or enjoying the company of friends. Sweet taste and clean finish. Not my favorite from the Bell’s collection, but glad I tried it. Pours with a mid-hazed, coppery-amber body under a full, off-white head which holds for a long while at 2- and 3-fingers. Some sour milk notes to light pine and honey-cluster cereal grain. Consistency of whole milk, a little hard to swallow. This approaches APA territory in hop flavoring, so it’s no wonder its percentile is so high for an Amber. Lemony with other citrus fruits in the background. A mild caramel sweetness adds to the experience along with strains of mild tea. Its initial flavor struck me as odd at first, but that could have been an effect of the hoppier beer I tried previous to it.
