Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 19, 2008 Bottled. A murky amber beer with a medium orange head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with strong notes of caramel and lesser notes of metal, while the flavor is sweet malty again with strong notes of caramel, but lesser notes of berries. Thanks Papsoe for sharing. Papsoe (10498), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 14, 2008 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Hazy, amber golden with tiny impurities and a small, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and overripe fruit. Medium-bodied with lightly sweet caramel and overripe fruit accents. The finish is dry. Classic American Amber. 120108 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 9, 2008 Cloudy orangey-amber. Woody, vaguely citrusy hops mix with earthy, slightly caramelly malts. Dull character. No bright notes of any kind, just vague malts (maybe caramel) and hops (low bitterness) that merely exist, failing to excite the palate. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jan 13, 2008 12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a fully diminished white head. Woody, pine and light fruity hops aroma with a malt base sweetness beneath. Flavour holds a very smooth fruity and slight spiced caramel malt base. Has a mild pine note and a slight wood note towards the finish. Ends medium dry with a caramel malt note. Nice. oh6gdx (6339), Vaasa, Finland Sep 17, 2006 Bottled. Hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma of fruity hops and slight yeasty notes. Flavour is hayish and grassy hops. Same all the way through. Sticky palate.
