ThaBobfather (130), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 27, 2008 High quality amber from Bell’s. Great ruby appearance. High quality flavor. Very standard brew from Bells.
cblado (89), Wisconsin, USA Oct 10, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poured a caramel color with a nice off-white head. Aroma was malty, with some toffee notes as well. Flavor was similar, with toffee and sweet malt being the strongest aspects. I liked this a lot, very drinkable. bretupdegraff (101), Fishers, Indiana, USA Oct 9, 2008 Cloudy orange light brown pour - nicde offwhite head that left pretty quickly. Awesome mouthfeel - taste - nice balance of hops and malt - a little sweet but offset by the hops. Good drink but not awesome. Might be the flagship by Bells - but it is not my fav by them.
Very Drinkable - great prep for my #100. Moggman (54), Columbus, Ohio, USA Oct 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with white/off white head. Aroma is malty sweet with hints of citrus. Flavor is malty and finishes with good balanced hops. timsilvia32 (249), from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA Oct 1, 2008 Light red pour, whitish head. Sweet malt, some pine aromas. Malt and toffee flavors throughout, little raisin or something green fruit. Nice bittering hops through the finish. Well balanced and drinkable, but nothing outstanding. One of Bell’s more sessionable ales. kosko20 (143), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA Sep 29, 2008 Perfect pour, caramel-amber color with a nice thick off-white head. Beautiful aroma, perfectly balanced of caramel malts and hops. Flavor is also balanced nicely of the same malts and hops and has a slight fruity flavor. Palate starts sweet, ends bitter...but slightly for both spectrums. Mouthfeel is a little thin and light on carbonation. A very easy drinker.
