Aromas of yeast, citrus, and spices. Orange peels. Tastes of citrus, spices, and fruity. Naka (525), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2007 Pours an amber/tangerine color with very little head. A beautiful color, but the lack of head really takes away from the overall presentation. Nose has some tropical fruit, clove, and alcohol. Good spicy flavor that goes well with the fruit notes. I agree with ElGaucho about the passion fruit in the palate. I also agree that this is remarkably smooth for the high ABV. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 14, 2007 Bottle in trade with Dukefan. Passion Fruit and orange peel are the two most prominent scents. Unique, fresh, tropical aroma. Hazy peach body with a lasting, light, off-white head that leaves nice, artistic lace. Plentiful visible carbonation. Orange peel and coriander are evident in the flavor, although passion fruit not so much. This is a unique beer; fresh, crisp and invigorating. Slaps you in the face a little bit, but, as MilkmanDan is fond of saying, in a good way. A very good beer that’s a quick drinker, and amazingly thirst quenching for a 9% ABV brew. No, this isn’t the big Dark Lord clone monster that Batch 7000 was, but my fellow Ratebeerians, you must think outside the box with this one. pizzabeer (6), USA does not count | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 14, 2007 Actually found this to be a pretty average wheat beer. Nothing really exciting. I’m guessing that this one has been sitting around for a while & is not being given a fair chance. Will probably use the other 5 bottles for Chicken & Fish marinade. $2.00 per bottle is a good price for a marinade & this beer has all of the components that should make my chicken taste great and less filling dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 12, 2007 (200) 12 oz. bottle, early Christmas present from ’Naka. Pours hazy gold with a touch of amber. Head was small and white, quickly disapating. Nose is spicy, mainly clove with some banana and alcohol. Wheat flavor, lots of clove and spice, some fruit, banana and raisin. Very dry finish, with some alcohol and a whole bunch of warmth. Pretty decent after in breathes for a bit. Drinkable, but in moderation. wmubronco1992 (180), Coldwater, Michigan, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 11, 2007 Bottle. White frothy head. Spicy, fruity aroma. Dark cloudy (unfiltered) orange color. Flavor is of wheat with not so subtle hints of orange and banana. This beer was absolutely beautiful. Honestly when I poured it I just stared at it in awe. The flavor to me actually didn’t quite match the amazing appearance, however it still is a tremendous beer. Extremely drinkable. This was kind of like Oberon on steriods. If this were to replace Oberon it would be the talk of the midwest, but we’d all go broke. At $13.50 for a 6 pack it was pricy, but worth it since it is a one time batch. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 6, 2007 GABF. One of my favorites at the fest. Fruity and sweet on the aromas. More fruit on the flavor. Touches of spice and wheat. Good jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA
