Commercial Description:
Batch 8000 is part of our commemorative series celebrating our progress with special brews. Our Batch 8000 is a special recipe to be brewed only once. It is a wheat ale spiced with Coriander, Orange Peel, and Paradise Seed. Best consumed fresh.
Editor’s Note. 9% is far above the abv range of a Belgian Wit Bier. Because we do not have the style "Imperial/Double Belgian Wit", this more closely fits as a Belgian Strong Ale.

Pours a moslty clear with a slight haze golden blond with lively carbonation and a moslty lasting white head. Aroma is traditional belgian wit spices- coriander and orange peel, phenolicy yeasty notes and some lemony sweetness. flavor is lots of sweet bready malts backed with lots of spice and floral hops- more corianter and orange citrus with some lemongrass hints in the end. Tacky and lightly soapy finish. Meh- I wasnt expecting much, but decent for a double wit.

cloudy with small head...aroma is a yeasty spice with a real faint sour...strong taste with the orange and spice big up front..finish leaves a thin film on the palate...aftertaste of orange zest and alcohol

Traded for two of these (I’m a fan of Witbiers), so thanks to both Pantanap and BigMilly8 for em. Pour is a very murky apricot with a somewhat persistent, yet thin off-white head. Aroma is strong...yeasty, orangey, spicy, and there is a fair bit of alcohol in the nose. Flavor is quite good...honey, coriander, orange and lemon, and yeast/sourdough. Alcohol is evident up front, but no strong burn in the finish. Nice and thick on the palate. Very enjoyable to drink...could consume these very frequently if easily available!

Hazy light amber color; nice perlage; persistent head. Delicate aroma, a bit spicy and fruity (oranges and banana), closer to the German wheat style than the Belgian. Full body, very sweet, with some wheat, light spices, light orange peel. Good but easy.

Mmm, yeast. It’s a shame this one isn’t around to stay for good. Alcohol is only apparent near the finish, if you can keep the glass down long enough.

12 oz bottle: poured muddy looking orange with very little head. Yeasty, coriander nose. Flavor has a decent hop note with some residual sweetness present. Full flavored but I really didn’t care too much for this.

bottle. no except for ring around trappist glass. cloudy orange body. bubble gum yeasts, corriander, some spicyness in the aroma. flavor is sweet with a touch of aceticness and a tiny bit of bitterness. alcohol is well hidden. moderate finish duration. enjoyable stuff.

Its like a strong witbier with the orange, coriander and honey tastes doubled, lots of alcohol tasted but not so much felt. Has a bit of apricot aftertaste with some sourdough and lemony bitternes. Above average brew, with a bit too much alcohol for it to be a winner.
