Commercial Description:
Batch 8000 is part of our commemorative series celebrating our progress with special brews. Our Batch 8000 is a special recipe to be brewed only once. It is a wheat ale spiced with Coriander, Orange Peel, and Paradise Seed. Best consumed fresh.
Editor’s Note. 9% is far above the abv range of a Belgian Wit Bier. Because we do not have the style "Imperial/Double Belgian Wit", this more closely fits as a Belgian Strong Ale.

Bottle: Pours a murky orange body with light yellow edges. Large beige, bubbly head and thick sheets of lacing. Nose is rich with fruity sweetness, malts, spiciness, and yeast. Flavor is more malty with earthy and yeast notes. The fruitiness and citrus from the aroma is tamed, but the spiciness goes well with the earth and floral tones. Towards the end the orange peel lingers.

Loud psssst when I uncapped the brew. Thin head which dissipated quickly though. Light carbonation for a Belgian. Nice fruity aroma with some soft malts, pears, white grape and a hint of spices. Medium golden orange in color with lots of very fine floaters. Sweet flavor with plenty of alcohol up front. More fruit and soft malts. Some honey and light spice. Warms as it goes down. Finishes sweet and very smooth. A very good belgain.

12 oz bottle. From the history of the x000 batches I expected a lot but when the reviews came in, I lowered them. After a few bottles of this though I’m ready to rate it myself. Pours a golden yellow with a tall white head. Spicy nose. Coriander, pepper, allspice, balanced with oranges, vanilla, yeasty, wheat and creamy. Similar first reaction to the flavor. Spicy. But then it blends so well. Coriander and pepper beside the juicy oranges and lemons and the creamy vanilla and wheaty notes. Refreshing and tasty. I can’t wait to see how these spices change overtime.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a nice, clean, hazy gold. Medium size, white bubbly head fades rather quickly. Aroma of banana, honey, some clove. Initial palate is rather sweet, but that quickly changes to a spiced, peppery mouthfeel. As the beer warms up, the alcohol really comes out to play. Interesting beer, but not really my style.

All spice and nutmeg aroma emits from this amber yellow brew. Sweet and creamy notes. Big bitter bite, bit of an alcohol burn and lingering alcohol dryness in the after taste. Peppery spicy cloves with a chalky banana palate. Strong brew, enjoy over a period of time, not one to pound on a hot day.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy orange-amber color with a medium sized orange-white head. The aroma was strong and sweet with notes of orange, coriander and other vague spices. The flavor was somewhat dry and musty with a light hint of orange and vague spices. The body was moderately thick. The taste was somewhat disappointing and the alcohol while well hidden initially came through significantly as it warmed.

bottle. clear mid range amber with a thin white head that lasts - coats glass as you drink. fruity yeast aroma. taste’s more like a trippel than a "double wit." i get candy sugar, orange, moderate bitter, mild carbonation. the sweetness wasn’t overbearing, but made the palate less than crisp. has a nice tang and the alcohol is well hidden, but the sugar brings down the drinkability.
