Commercial Description:
Batch 8000 is part of our commemorative series celebrating our progress with special brews. Our Batch 8000 is a special recipe to be brewed only once. It is a wheat ale spiced with Coriander, Orange Peel, and Paradise Seed. Best consumed fresh.
Editor’s Note. 9% is far above the abv range of a Belgian Wit Bier. Because we do not have the style "Imperial/Double Belgian Wit", this more closely fits as a Belgian Strong Ale.

Pours hazy golden with a mostly receding off-white head. Aroma of orange juice, rum, fusels, and sweet citrus. Taste is sweet, alcoholic, and citric. Mouthfeel is full bodied, slightly heavy from the alcohol with soft but lush carbonation. I love Bells, but this beer was a bit messy, I do think it could benefit from extended aging. Perhaps after a year it would clear up and become a bit more refined.

Bottle. Yummy! Aroma is fruity. The orange really comes through with a nice wheat background. Coriander is faintly there in the background.

Pours a cloudy golden orange with a medium bubbly/creamy off white head that left some lacing. Aroma of coriander, orange, other spices, Belgian yeast, bread, banana and floral notes. Flavors were a mix of the same Belgian yeast and spices, orange, corriander, some banana, bubblegum and a touch of caramel as well.

12 oz bottle. Lightly fogged orange with a bit of white head. Spicy dough, orange, hospital and banana. Light carb with a Juicy Fruit tang and medium body that feels heavy. Rich banana-orange; perhaps most flavorful wit i’ve had but alcohol rises up and doesn’t help a bitter, wheaty finish. Imperial wit sounds about right.

Bottle. Pours out an orange color with a nice white head on it. Plenty of sweet spicy smells along with some coriander and orange. The taste of it kind of put me off at first, but as I got used to it, it became excellent. Very easy to drink, especially for 9%. Very good stuff, and a top rank witbier - even though on here it gets classified as a belgian strong, and thus it gets lost in a sea of beers which it does not even compare to. Since this is a belgian strong, I guess I will do a blind tasting with this, chimay, rochefort 8, and pannepot. On a more realistic level, this is probably the best wit I have had, and frankly, if the brewer says it is a wit, then to me that is good enough. Cant wait for 9000. I hope its not a 8% helles, because then it would be put under double IPA.

muddy ornage in color with a small white head.the aromas blend up oranges, coriander, vanilla pop sickles, and a hint of mint.the flavor boasts much of the same with a bit of lemon thrown in as well.this is very different in a very good way.
