Commercial Description:
Batch 8000 is part of our commemorative series celebrating our progress with special brews. Our Batch 8000 is a special recipe to be brewed only once. It is a wheat ale spiced with Coriander, Orange Peel, and Paradise Seed. Best consumed fresh.
Editor’s Note. 9% is far above the abv range of a Belgian Wit Bier. Because we do not have the style "Imperial/Double Belgian Wit", this more closely fits as a Belgian Strong Ale.

GABF 2007. An unclear yellow beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet and acidic with light notes of brettanomyces and farmhouse. The flavor is sweet, but also with a slight acidic edge and a light alcohol burn. The mouthfeel is smoothe and milk like.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of KimJohansen. A hazy orange beer with a rough, off-white head. Fat aroma of fruit, vitamin-C, yeast and a little honey. Quite full-bodied with plenty of fruit, yeast and alcohol. Distinct alcohol in the finish. 201008

12 fl oz bottle, courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours hazy orange with a diminished white head. Spiced yeasty and slight oxidised aroma. Light caramel malty to a mild yeasty backbone and somewhat oxidised too - although this may not be oxidisation I’m picking - but it seems like it. Ends is a sticky sweet and yeasty and caramel malty finish.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear golden, average head. Heavy coriander and banana aroma. Sweet, dense and full bodied. Notes of candy sugar and lemon grass, but most of all a concentrated flavour of orange marmelade. Powerful, but a bit sticky. Never quite figured why to make a fat ass witbier, but I quite like the beer.

Bottle 355ml.
Clear with small size particles, a medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate hoppy, orange shell, moderate yeasty, honey, coriander. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [260908]

Bottled@Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is fruits, alcohol, nectar and some wood. Flavour is hops, fruits and some mild notes of nectar and wood. Also some slight alcoholic sweetness. As it warms up the wheat gets stronger. Rather wellbalanced imperial wit, or wheatwine.

Appearance: aroma is turning dry and spicy with a light sweaty leather bret character,
Aroma: flavor is drying out a bit as well, nice spicyness but none of the funk that would come with the bret in the aroma, still rich and fruity but dryer though the sweetness comes in time,
Flavor: flavor is pretty much unchanged but the aroma is picking up some interesting changes,

Hazy light amber color; nice perlage; persistent head. Delicate aroma, a bit spicy and fruity (oranges and banana), closer to the German wheat style than the Belgian. Full body, very sweet, with some wheat, light spices, light orange peel. Good but easy.
