Oct 4, 2007 Golden clear brass body, with lots of rising bubbles into a thin cotton head. Smells of lager hops, strong piss, wet horse blanket, not aromatic in the slightest. Creamy texture. Lots of biscuity yeast, bready, and dank. Just way too unbalanced. This is the first Bell’s beer I haven’t liked, it was really terrible.

Oct 2, 2007 Pours yellow, clear, with a moderate, fine head. Aroma is pleasantly grassy and mildly sweet. Moderate mouth feel. Flavor is grassy with some mildly sweet undertones.

Sep 22, 2007 Bottle. Poured a light golden ale with a white head. Crisp and refreshing aroma that was earthy and somewhat bitter. Very nice flavor was dry yet very quaffable and the hops was just about right and not too intense. Very smooth in the aftertaste. An excellent pils that is on par with, if not better than, locally (to me) brewed Summit Grand.

Sep 15, 2007 A great pilsener. Aroma of yeast and grain. Pour was a light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was nice and dry....lemon and honey in the front with a somewhat bitter hoppiness in the aftertaste. Nothing big, but enought to balance out this beer.

Sep 15, 2007 Lager of the Lakes: Gold honey pour a soapy white head that forms a solid ring. Saaz grassiness and light bready malts in the nose. Easy drinking, the body notes a nice balance of pine/floral hops and doughy malts. Delicate through and through, this is a very good example of the style.

Sep 10, 2007 12oz bottle of "Lager of the Lakes." Pours a clear pale amber with nearly no head or visible carbonation. Aroma is sweet and earthy with smells of yeast, soil, and honey. Taste has a creamy body with tastes of malt and yeast giving way to a lingering finish of crisp and bitter hops. A pleasant and light summer brew if not an exceptional one.

Sep 10, 2007 A gorgeous orange-yellow pour with a thin head is clean and clear.
Banana, vanilla, malt, and yeast all come through with clear, distinct notes culminating in a light finish and dry mouthfeel.
Is ideal served alongside of food (chili in the case tonight), but could also serve as a nice aperatif with a cheddar and nice salami.
