A gorgeous orange-yellow pour with a thin head is clean and clear. Banana, vanilla, malt, and yeast all come through with clear, distinct notes culminating in a light finish and dry mouthfeel. Is ideal served alongside of food (chili in the case tonight), but could also serve as a nice aperatif with a cheddar and nice salami.

A very fine lager to be sure, the kind of thing that gives me an appreciation for well done examples of a style I usually overlook. Pale, refreshing, with a good malty heft to it, it suffers only from the high price point.

Pale yellow with some head and good lacing. Bitterness without a strong hop flavor, good earthy undertones in this beer. Another good one from Bells!

I’m not sure how this "Lager of the Lakes" escaped a tasting, until now, but it has. I enjoy so many of Bells’ beers, but sometimes you just want a pilsner, and they tend to specialize in ales and stouts. This, however, is a good pils. Nice medium gold color, and an almost white head, which dissipates in about two minutes, start off the brew. Nose is lightly bitter and clean. Flavor is nice. Hoppy, for a pilsner, but not overly so. Good mouthfeel. This would be a very nice session beer, I think, and I’m likely to make it so during tonight’s NFL opener. Another good offering from Bells.

Clear gold with white holey head. Light beer aroma of bitterness and fruit. Clean, refreshing, smooth. A good lager.

Clear light golden pour with white head. Sweet aroma with notes of bread, citrus (orange and lemon) and grass. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Crisp mouthfeel. Lively carbonation. This is an excellent summer refresher — a clean lager with nice aroma and flavor.

It’s pretty hoppy for a pilsner. The aroma is earthy, kind of musty. It is very nice on a summer day if your in to hoppy beers.

Lager of the Lakes 12oz Batch 8008. Purchased today @ Chevy Chase Wine and Liquors in Washington DC. Pours yellowy with a pinky width bright white head. Nice pilsner nose. Taste is fresh with slight bitterness. Overall pretty tasty for the style, another good beer from Bells.
