Head was big, white, and bubbly with good retention and lacing. Smells of honey dripped malty cereal grain and a hint of noble hops. Flavor is similar, but the hops assert themselves much creating a citrusy flavor. They also impart a modest bitterness that is well balanced with the light grainy malt flavor/sweetness. Pretty good. jasonp (1513), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA

Clear golden with a white head. I found the aroma to be subtle yet pleasant; light dough, bread and noble hops. Flavor has notes of light bread/grain, lemon and grassy hops. Moderate level of sweetness/bitterness. The body is medium/light and could’ve used more refreshing carbonation imo. Overall, a very drinkable tasty beer. Re-rate sampled from a cold bottle freshly opened by me. Very nice clear golden appearance with a billowy white head. Simple grainy, lemony, noble hop-y flavor, but very very very drinkable and tasty. Smooth refreshing mouthfeel. Really nice stuff. kmweaver (2483), Sebastopol, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 8, 2007 Sampled from a bottle. Nose is doughy, sugary and buttery sweet, with sugar cookie dough and butter notes dominant. Crisp and fres saaz hops are done very well, and it tastes like a big buttered biscuit or buttered croisant. Lightly peppery, light to medium crisp bitterness, sharp I would say, then more oily and a bit syrupy in the finish. A decent beer to drink, but the butter notes can go. argo0 (6978), Washington DC, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 7, 2007 On tap at El Bait Shop. Great Beer! Rich gold with a medium white head. Amazing lacing. Pours crisp and clear with medium carbonation. Has a honey and candy aroma. Has an awesome rich thick flavor. Berries, sweetness, and lots of flavor hop bursts of citrus fruit rinds. Perhaps cherries even? WOW! Brief lemon aroma and maltiness. Seems like it has heavy amounts of honey, but I know better. Speaks volumes about this brewer when this is the standard-bearer beer. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA

A medium gold body is topped with a fluffy egg shell colored head. The aroma is boiled potatoes with some carrots and a little bit of grass. The taste has some light notes of spicy parsnips and potatoes. Nice and light. This is a decent light lager. The mouthfeel is soft and surprisingly full. drewbeerme (2305), Chicago, Illinois, USA
