Good malt character followed by dry hop. More of a Belgian brown. This one is not a real hooter. tedovertu (260), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 5, 2008 Pours a beautiful copper brown with a good sized, full khaki head. The aroma is very malty, a lot of caramel, light roastiness, and some ripe, lightly spiced fruit. Flavor Is sweet at first, even with a few hints of cherries along with those caramel malts. There is a little roasted flavor that mixes in with a peppery hop taste that finishes dry and a little awkwardly. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA

Burnt coffee/copper brown red in color with a thin ivory white head. Smell is a hint doughy and is slight smoky malt. Big sediment chunks floating around remind me of a science experiement - pretty cool. Smoky malt flavor. Nice, slightly above average palate. Watery but it works here. Surely one of the better browns I have had. The dry smoky malt flavor is memorable and enjoyable. Sparky27 (1596), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

Pours a hazy brownish amber with initial 2 finger foamy tan head the fades into a small constant topper. Nose is malt, brown sugar and nuts. Palate is roasted malt, caramel, maybe a touch of coffee and a dry, slight bitter hop finish. Medium mouth feel, really nice lacing. A solid representative of the style. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 24, 2008 This beer pours a bright copper color with a foamy, off-white head. It has nice head retention and lacing. It has a light citrus hoppy aroma with a hint of toasted malts. The taste is malty and bready with a nice hop finish. Very enjoyable and refreshing. It is lightly carbonated, the body leaves a bit to be desired, but it’s still quite delicious. I would serve this with a mushroom swiss burger or a meatloaf-yum!
