Darker brown with large creamy beige head. Aroma is doughy, nutty, brown sugar, yeasty, pleasant. Nice subtle roasted malt with, dough, sweet upfront with dry finish, light noble hops, slight grain, caramel and brown sugar, very drinkable. Medium creamy body. A nice and easy drinking Brown, there are some obvious age notes on this and I would like to try it fresh. chimpscampee (566), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Finish is slightly sweet. Would be a decent session beer! SHANER4 (385), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 10, 2008 Poured dark brown from a 12 oz. bottle. Smelled like sweet grapes. Tasted very similar to Welch’s grape juice with alcohol and carbonation!? Finishes dry like they say it does. Overall a different tasting beer, not my first choice but not bad either. lweiberg (89), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 10, 2008 Doesn’t linger as long as I’d like and it doesn’t have a pervasive, tastebud-taxing taste like, for instance, Three Floyd’s’ Robert the Bruce, which would be about the same price per six-pack ($7.99 plus tax). Tasty in general and a nice brew but not really worth the money. masonjer (564), Holt, Michigan, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 6, 2008 Haven’t had this in awhile. Poured a nice brown color, just what you’d expect. Pretty straightforward overall, but this had a little more punch than I remember. Not as subdued and certainly not bland. This beer accomplishes everything it is trying to. hillfiiiiire (286), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 6, 2008 Pours a dark brown with little head. The aroma is just very malty and not very interesting. The flavor has some interest to it though with a bit of roasted malts and nuttiness. Kind of sweet. It finishes rather dry. It’s all right, but nothing extraordinary. hodgey1 (9), Edinboro, Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 4, 2008 A excellent Brown Ale, nice reddish brown color. Aroma was nice and flavor was a touch sweet which I really enjoyed. I almost thought I caught a hint of raspberry in the finnish.
