Aroma was nice and flavor was a touch sweet which I really enjoyed. I almost thought I caught a hint of raspberry in the finnish. MaltOne (61), USA

First taste on the tonque is bitter, progresses to flavors toasted malt, a touch of rye, overall a good dry/bitter finish with nice mouth feel. Generally not my style of beer, rating biased accordingly.. no knock on Bell’s. mgoy (343), Oak Brook, Illinois, USA

I enjoyed the great deep red color and nice aroma. While this was a bit more sweet than I wanted, bitter hopps balance out the sweet very well. This was a very good ale that can be drunk throughout the entirety of a basketball game! SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA

Pours a slightly hazed brown color with orangey highlights and a small, thin head. Aroma of roasty malts, with hints of brown sugar and nuts, herbal hops and floral notes. Roasty flavor with not quite ripe figs, floral hops and dandelion milk. Medium body, assertive carbonation. mistersinalin (378), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 1, 2008 Pours fairly medium/light brown, bubbly. Some bottles I’ve had poured hazy, but not the one I just drank. Bubbly white head. Malt, nuts, caramel and roast on the palate. Slight chocolate, too. Medium-bodied and on the lighter side of browns. Nice if you want a lighter session brown. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA

Nutty, toasted caramel malt aroma with a touch of vanilla. Smooth and sweet with caramel and a little chocolate flavor. Nice rich body. Mellow hop presence. Finishes a bit metallic and sour. I think this bottle may be out of date.
