Feb 16, 2008 Pours brown with a fine, white head. Aroma is sharp and hoppy. Flavor is rather hoppy again. Pretty specific taste of hop and malts.

Feb 16, 2008 Batch 8212 bottle thanks to franksnbeans. Poured a deep brown color with ruby highlights a thin off-white head that recedes rather quickly. Aroma of slight caramel and a hint of fruitiness that I can’t put my finger on. Nice caramel malt entry with a slight spicy nuttiness leads into a slight hoppiness with some fruity undertones. Not super complex, but pretty nice for a brown. Crisp and easy to drink. Would be a nice session beer, thanks Beans.

Feb 15, 2008 Absolutely the best brown ale I have ever had. Spicy and caramelly and nutty in the nose, thick long-lasting head, a little citrust and hppy perkiness, but overall deep richness and malty goodness. Sweet and a slightly sugary finish. Beautiful deep ruby color held up to the sun. Great unwinding beer!

Feb 11, 2008 Pours a slightly fogged ruby hued brown that only gives a small creme head off a firm pour. Nose is very leafy and earthy. Flavor is very full. A lot more vibrant than I had figured it would be. Much more of a sugar-like sweet tone to it. Almost like there was brown sugar thrown in the mix. Feel has a full carbonation and the liquid is well bodied. This is easy to drink. A bit too sweet IMO, but still an enjoyable experience.

Feb 9, 2008 Yes, not every Bell beer can be up to par. There is way too much metallic tones in this one. The aroma is ok, but the flavor and aftertaste really do nothing for me. Reminds me alot of a generic light beer you chug after doing yardwork. However, Bells always redeems themselves with Hopslam and the old Expedition. Sorry to be so brutal.

Feb 9, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a medium hazy brown with small head. Some flavor of malty goodness, but not enough. Some caramel too. Hoppy in the aftertaste. Not alot going on here.

Feb 7, 2008 Yum! Bell’s really makes some great beers! Cloudy brown/amber color. Creamy head malty taste and slightly bitter finish. I really like this beer and need to have a few more
