Bottle. Pours a cloudy ruddy brown with a thin layer of off-white head. Nutty malt aroma with some light earthy hops assisting. Palate is accomodating, being slighty on the thick side for a brew of modest alcohol content. Nice malt complexity comes through on the taste, seeming richer than most other browns. The nuttiness and hop character mix well in the finish. A very nice brown ale.

Opaque brown-red pour with a thin tan head. Nutty molasses aroma with a bit of lactose. Very creamy flavor. Hints of maple syrup and hazelnut. Very dry with a malty finish and a touch of bitter hops. Pretty watery, but smooth and easy to drink.

12 oz bottle. Wow, a brown ale that I actually like. This was pretty good. Caramel and malty aromas. Flavors were similar, with a decent hop finish to give it some bite. Dry finish. Nice.

tasty brown here. as stated it has a nice dry finish. good head retention as well as a nice amount of bittering hops which leads to a very solid drinkiable brown

Rich brown color. Slight malty nose, some roasted barley. Good flavor, sweeter and thinner than a typical brown, but very drinkable.

Hazelnuts I believe. Lively mouthfeel. A bit of roasted malt in the finish actually. Malty but not sweet, which was nice.

cloudy just brown color with an off white head. aroma seems muted...caramel, malt, some yeast and coffee notes. flavor is the same...some coffee, chocolate, earthiness and a light acidic/bitterness from hops or perhaps ashy malts? medium body/carbonation/mouth feel.
