(bottle - 12 oz) Brown color with a creamy tan head. Aroma is nutty, malty, and slightly sweet with a hint of hops but not too much. Flavor is malty and sweet with the same nutty flavor in the middle and a very light chocolate and bitter finish. Smooth and tasty.

Bottle. Hazy dark brown leaning towards mahogany. Aroma is malty and nutty and rather sweet. Very faint hops. Almost like a Snickers bar at one point. Taste is malty and nutty as well with light choco notes, soft caramel and candy bar like flavors. Again with the Snickers. Body is medium but creamy. Ends with more choco notes, sweet malts, and nutty flavors. Best than most brown ales.

12 oz bottle. Poured a cloudy and dark chestnut brown. Smell was quite nutty and malty but a little funky. Taste was pleasant, bitter, and nutty. Finish was strong and nutty but a little bitter. Disappointing for a Bells.

draft at eccentric.....appearance: dark, apple-sauce brown with a minimal amount of head....aroma: subtle roasted and toffee nose....taste: light body, lighl caramel. really needed more assertiveness here but a nice beer to have several of.

Faint aroma. Amber brown hue with a small tan head. Flavor is faint but sweet and then bitter. Watery flat. Weak over all.

I don’t know, but this seems kind of blase to me. Maybe my shnoz is plugged or something. Had a nice head, some lace, hazy brown color and not much else. Decent body. Having this on draft at Bodega Brew Pub, downtown La Crosse, WI where it was just put on draft.
