| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 12, 2007 Pours a murky deep brown with a frothy light brown head. The aroma is a sweet, nutty caramel. Medium-bodied, creamy and soft with a lightly astringent finish, it tastes even better than it smells. A nice, sweet, nutty beer with a slightly dry finish, this one gave me "warm fuzzies". It would be an awesome cool-weather brew, unfortunately it’s in the 80’s right now, so I’ll probably be waiting until this fall to pick up some more. Bell’s makes some truly tasty beers. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 29, 2007 Pours a cloudy brown. Hopefully bottle conditioned as some others have commented. A finger deep tan head that quickly disappears. Some lacing left on the glass. Caramel and butterscotch ore present on the tongue but I also notice a slight metallic flavor. Nice mouth feel. I would like to try a fresher sample of this. alexsdad06 (1082), Ohio, USA
