Appealing brown body, with a decent tan head. Good lacing. Caramel and mild chocolate aroma. Flavors of malt and nuts, with some cholcolate in the background. Pleasant, slightly bitter chocolate and roasted nut finish. A quality brown ale, indeed.

Bottle. Pours a clear brown with a fair sized dense head that shrinks down. Aroma is roasted malts, nut, hops. Flavor is chocolate, malt, nuts, hops poking through. Palate is medium, moderately carbonated, finish is bitter.

Aroma is a little odd... a little too much piney hops and some earthy malt. Flavor is better balanced... starting out with nuts and roasted chocolate malt. Finishes with a light bitterness and dry maltiness.

pours clear dark redish brown with a frothy light brown head. Aroma is lightly malty of cookies and heavily hoppy of pine. Flavor is balanced slightly on the bitter side, finish is the same, toasted malts with an average duration finish. Light bodied oily and softly carbonated.

Nice dense creamy head of fine bubbles. Settles slowly with minimal carbonation. Nice roasty and nutty aroma. Malty and slightly sweet nose. Color is a dark crimson brown. Roasted grains, light nuts, hint of tartnes and bitterness. Finish is dry and a little bitter. Brown ales are just great brews to have lying around for guests. Everybody likes them and they are hard to mess up. This is a very good brown ale.
