Wow, the aroma is like a Bailey’s float and the taste is a creamy Hagen Daz coffee/toffee ice cream. Poured a dark black/brown with a dark brown head. Insanely smooth and creamy deliciousness, definitely couldn’t drink more than one. railcat1 (582), Orlando, Florida, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Updated: Nov 9, 2009Bottle sampled at DLD ’09, and I believe it is in thanks to StFun! Poured a very nice dark dark black pour, opaque, with minimal head. Aromas are very strong towards the oak and bourbon side, pushing some vanilla and roast in as well. Sweetness works well with the roast and bourbon. Takes on some nice caramel, vanilla, roasted malts into the body. Combining sweetness with good balance and running it over smoothing it out with the oak, vanilla, and creaminess, and bliss. I’d love to try this again and get an even better impression. Cheers!
ReRate: FOBAB 2009 - Pours pitch black thick pour, a big brownish head that dies a bit, laces well. Aromas are bourbon, sweet roasty mand sweet chocolate, cookie, coffee. Wet wood, vanilla. Initial is thick, full bodied, chocolate and bourbon warmth, vanilla, a touch of coconut, roasty and warming as it goes down. Full, sweet, roast this beer really runs the gambit in it’s blend. Nice bourbon warmth and flavor elements without taking dominance, light smoke/ash. Better than my original try. Rerated to 4.4. GranvilleTim (520), Granville, Illinois, USA
