On tap 6/23/09. Pours a ruby ambery color with not much in the way of a head. Aromas are faint of tart cherries and a hint of lemon. Flavor is tart cherry pie filling, though not as medicinal as I anticipated. Somewhat sour and tart on the palate, medium carbonation. A little dry and crisp in the finish. Better than I expected.

Pours with a slightly cloudy amber body topped by a thin head with little lacing. IT’s sweet and full of cherry notes with light malty notes. Light to medium bodied, smooth and a touch dry.

The Birdman is my favorite basketball player. Man that dude can jump out of the gym Somewhat old cherry aroma. Perhaps a touch of oxidation. Very juicy smelling. Pours a murky brownish red with some bubbles. It looks like Naked juice or something. More juicy flavors - all cherry juice, fresh with little sugary sweetness really just real fruit flavors. For some reason after the fresh cherry juicy notes I got a soft touch of smoke. Very odd, but interesting at the same time. Not bad.

Better than Sam Adams cherry wheat, if thats saying anything. Is pretty light and fruity, and not heavy-sweet. Unfortunately it more or less reminds me of generic beer with grenadine in it. Worth a try once.

Misty thick red pour. Old cherry aroma, with honey, raspberries, and citrus. Calcium. Quite bright.

Juicy and almost spicy cherry flavor. Mineral and pit-heavy in bitterness, while its sweetness tends toward syrupy sugars and reduced juices. Calcium and general hard-water metallic characters dry out the mid palate, briefly, but the finishing touch is warm and fleshy fruit; almost jammy.

Sometimes the tartness blends with the mineral qualities to create an intriguing shade of Sauvignon Blanc that passes for something interesting. Palate is mild and medium textured, softly carbonated, and juicy. Age hasn’t done it too well at this very old point, but it seems to improved it in some vague respects as well. Thanks Ken!

12oz bottle, purchased at Embassy in Warren, MI. Pours a dark, pulpy red raspberry color; thin-pinkish head that quickly fades. Slight metallic note over a muddled, pulpy cherry character in the aroma; pureed bing cherries with average acidity. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy, pitty cherries and strawberries upfront; some fruity tannins; very light citric tartness and solid levels of acidity; decent presence in the mouth, if a touch undercarbonated at this point; solid, genuine cherry notes with some breadiness at the core; tastes better than it smells. Medium finish: red fruits (cherries, especially), light toasty and bready malts, and a touch of citrus.

I am not much of a fruit beer fan. This one is certainly not bad. THe cherry tartness is there in the flavor. The color was a beautiful amber red. Sour alcohol finish.
