Tastes very tarte with cherries and some moderate hop notes. Tarte finish. More subdued than some other cherry beers I’ve had but still very good. DaSilky1 (1989), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 21, 2005 Subtle cherry cobbler nose showing beer like fumes underneath. Red tinted amber, with a thin off-white layer of small bubbles. Malty flavors surrounded by subtle cherry tartness. Tart astringency in the end with somewhat of an alcohol heat presence. Somewhat bland and boring and surely not worthy of being able to satisfy a cherry craving. CaptainCougar (5490), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 19, 2005 Pours a deep ruby copper with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet and sour sauce and green hoppiness. Body starts lightly sweet and fruity, turning more sour, mildly earthy, and oily toward the sticky cherry finish. A very confused example of a fruit beer that, coming from Bells should be better. Needs more malt for balance. TheEnemy (422), Chicago, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 17, 2005 Pours a charming hazy orange-red rose tint and releases a head that produces a highly metallic aroma. Flavor is similar -- tart cherries to the point of tasting metallic. While I don’t necessarily want a fruit beer to taste like a wine cooler mixed with lager, this one could have used a bit more sweetness and less tartness. Aftertastes vaguely reminds of cherries once again, if only the actual beer itself tasted like such. Instead it tastes like homebrew made with unfiltered iron-infused well water. Not at all pleasant, and quite a disappointment from this great brewery. jtw (942), farmington, Michigan, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 8, 2005 Updated: Sep 27, 2005I typically think that fruit beer is just a bad beer with some fake tasting fruit flavour, but this tastes authentic. Its very nice! Not over the top with fruit flavour, and tastes real enough to think that there are actually cherries there somewhere. It isn’t exceptionally malty, or beerlike, but very well done from my perspective. HopasaurusRex (195), Glen Ellyn, Illinois, USA

It took me a couple bottles to get this beer, but I actually like it. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Sep 2, 2005 Jam-like sweet cherry aroma incorporates fresh diapers and tomatoes. Clear amber brown with low, white, large-bubbled head that recedes to ring. Sourness is assertive yet overall character seems sweet. No real malt character. Sticky with low carbonation. Bottle sampled with muzzlehatch, Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere.
