| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 25, 2009 This is actually a pretty nice Scotch Ale. Toasty and biscuty malt, not much hop flavor and a balanced bitterness. Pretty easy to drink. Simple, but flavorful. hershiser2 (914), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 25, 2009 Bottle. Amber-red with a large off-white head. Light aroma with some sweet malts. Taste is bitter copper and grass. Not what I want in a Christmas beer. tmoreau (596), Lombard, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 24, 2009 Poured to a fluted fest glass at Brixie’s Holiday Beer Tasting in Brookfield, Il.. a deep amber/brown with a modest, off white, foam head and light, clingy lacing. The nose was toasty, earthy, light resin and esters, caramel and spice. The flavor added some grainy nature along with a better than average hop bitterness. An okay Scotch that we can enjoy with Christmas faire. SuIIy (1467), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 22, 2009 pours amber, copper bubbly aqt first with a decent head that soon dies. Heavy aroma nose of honey, floral and grassy. Has a strong alchohol kick and a very heavy carbonation sting. Carbonation is boosted with gas. Has a bit of ginger and a cinnamon like undertone. A good brew... DerBiermeister (516), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 21, 2009 Malty, hoppy mediocrity with a hint of some seasonal spices, though not overpoweringly so. Simple Christmas ale. radagast83 (1314), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2009 Sampled from 12 oz bottle. Poured a amber/copper color with a medium sized whitish color. Aromas are hops, citrus, notes of grass, malts. It’s pretty hoppy, hoppier than I expected from a "Christmas" beer - but not overwhelming. Nice and crisp, the beer is quite refreshing.
