Pours a clear red-brown body with a smallish tan head. Aroma is caramel sweet, cherry and a bit spicy. Flavor is caramel, sweet candy, cherry and a bit metallic. Medium body, sweet finish.

I need to try this again. Great beer. Beautifully balanced carbonation. Dark amber with tiny head and minimal lacing. Undertones of dark fruits. On tap at bodegas in Cbus.

dark red/copper color with a full and carbinated head that disappears qucikly. Aromas of dark sugar, barley, and a hint of dark fruit and tobacco. A little spice on the front, with a big kick of sweetness that turns into a thick mouth feel and some stickiness that lingers. I was hoping for move goat and less sweetness. try schells anniversay instead, it kills.

Pours a ruby color with thin off white head. Aroma is of light fruit, sweet malt, and caramel. Taste is much the same. A very easy drinking doppelbock which makes me think this isn’t as true to the style as it should be. Still, for 8% the alcohol was well hidden and it was quite enjoyable.

Pours a light amber color with a medium white head that fades fast. Aroma is ginger, molasses, and caramel. Taste is about the same. Meh. Just not a doppelbock guy.

Bells Consecrator Doppelbock is the first Doppelbock I ever sampled. The color is a very attractive peachy/amber with a quickly vanashing light amber head. The aroma is very fruity with notes of alcohol and a mild hop hint. The flavor is sweet with sugar and vanilla, and the finish is very easy.

Nice clear red color with malty aroma. Is well-balanced with a syrupy flavor and a just enough hops not to have a sour malty finish. Quite nice.

THIS is a how you make a doppelbock! The noticeable alcohol note in the aroma does not abuse the tastebuds as so many other supposedly smooth doubles are known to do and the sweet malty body delights without overpowering the beer. Well done!
