[Bottle] Pours clear red with a very light tan head. Aroma is malty, some molasses and very bready. Taste is very malt heavy with a good deal of what I believe to be barley--especially towards the finish. Medium mouthfeel with a long finish. Very easy drinking. A very sessionable beer and quite good.

On tap at Vintage Estates. A burnt caramel color with a pretty creamy head and nice staying power. Big caramel nose with a little bit of apple and brown sugar. Taste is rich caramel with just a slight hint of the apple and a really nice warming alcohol. A sweetness with a bit of dry finish. Nice and creamy mouthfeel. Must of what I have had from Bells is just money.

On tap at Vintage Estates, courtesy of Nuts. Light fruity nose with maple and brown sugar. Oaky. Sweet and woody with mild hoppy nose. Clean, crisp. Clear golden amber with thin off-white lacing head. Medium heavy body with medium carbonation. Starts sweet and smooth with brown sugar, a bit of caramel and vanilla. A little watery at the finish with a nice rounded hop bitterness. Nutty. Good doppelbock but without the distinctive malty character from a decoction mash that German examples seem to carry. Sweet dry after.

Bottled. Clear light brown colour with a beige head and bubbly carbonation. Aroma of caramel and honey. Sweet caramel flavour but maybe a little too sweet and syrupy making it one dimensional. Still good though.

Bottle: pours a dark reddish brown with little head, aroma of cherries or some kind of darker fruit and malt, taste is malty with a slightly syrupy and sticky mouthfeel. Nothing special.

Dark amber in color and clear through. Smallish, off-white head. This beer has an aroma of malt and caramel and a touch of alcohol and something sweet...bubblegum. Cherry bubblegum. Slightly hoppy but very full and malty.

Bottle. Thanks to Stine. Poured a deep amber body with thin head. Aroma is a nice blend of caramel and malt. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, light hoppiness. Smooth.

On tap. Pours a translucent, dark red/brown color with an off-white, small head. Aroma is pleasantly clean and fruity, malty but relatively subtle. Taste is smooth, clean, fruity. Bitterness is low. Body is medium. This is nicely balanced and easy to drink for the style. I’m not huge into Dopplebocks but this one is pleasant enough.
